Where it matters, we name the governing rule and quote it. If a policy exists because of Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) or the HIPAA Privacy Rule (45 CFR 164), we say so, and we show you the language. You should know exactly which law your program answers to.
Working within the law. We work closely within HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and the other core laws that govern mental and physical health information. Before we ever handle protected health information, we sign a Business Associate Agreement, so confidentiality and security are covered from the start.
We advise, audit, and build systems you own and operate. We do not act as your compliance officer of record, we do not run your operations, and we do not provide legal advice. When a matter calls for legal counsel, we coordinate with a referral attorney who is billed separately.
